No canned vegetable price changes were reported for March. Compared with March 2016, though, changes were noted for mixed vegetables, beas and peas and carrots.

The price for foodservice Midwest Fancy 4s peas was USD24.00, down from USD24.25/carton last year, while peas and carrots 6/10s were priced at USD26.00 for March, down from USD28.00 a year ago.

The average retail price of canned vegetables for Conagra brands increased by 1.3% in the last year, even as sales declined by 1.9% and volume by 3.3%, according to data from Morgan Stanley.
